Dear future European urologists,
The European Urology Residents Education Programme is approaching its tenth year of continued success as a comprehensive course for final-year residents. Since 2003, the European School of Urology (ESU) has provided European residents-in-training with an extensive multi-day programme, with the European Board of Urology (EBU) offering its written exam.
The course is designed to offer a comprehensive overview of urological topics, while also allowing for a high degree of interaction. The five required modules are taught on a rotating basis, with mornings reserved for state-of-the-art lectures and afternoons filled with discussions, videos and test-your-knowledge sessions. The faculty that will teach the modules are renowned experts in their field, selected also for their teaching abilities.
In addition to the regular programme, the EUREP has since 2005 provided the opportunity for residents to hone their laparoscopic skills. We are particularly grateful to Olympus, whose sponsorship of the hands-on-training (HOT) is an essential and popular part of the annual programme. The training courses are offered at various levels of expertise. With one tutor to every two participants, the training sessions give each resident optimal guidance.
On the last day of the EUREP meeting, participants have the chance to take the official written part of the FEBU Exam. This is available to final-year residents in participating countries, and we would encourage you to register if you are eligible! We look forward to seeing you at the 10th EUREP course from 31 August – 5 September, where experience meets ambition.
